Three more days, a National Championship, and my new internet obsession...

I can't believe it's already Tuesday... but I certainly can't wait until noon on Thursday when we close on this house!  Nick did the punch-list walk-through with the builder yesterday and there were a few last minute details to line up.  The stainless steel appliances are in (we had them all switched from black to stainless) and the last few light fixtures have been hung.  Nick decided during the walk through that he know wants to change the light fixtures to some with more personality (rather than the standard builder stuff) so I'm sure we'll have a good time finding those.  I think I want a simple, classic small chandelier in the master bath... something understated but something fun at the same time to finish off our Hamptons-themed Master Suite!  Here is one of my inspirational images that I had in mind...

So other than light fixtures and room decor, not much has been on mind besides getting this move over with.  Until last night of course when our beloved Alabama Crimson Tide brought home its 14th BCS National Championship.  Nick was able to watch the game with a group of our friends in Birmingham, while I watched it from my mattress (which is on the floor since the beds are all dismantled) with a styrofoam cup of cereal (since i packed all the bowls) on my 13" TV (since all the "real" TVs are packed up too).   ROLL TIDE!!!  Here is a YouTube video of the amazing crowd:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWS71Zq-9h8&sns=fb

And then there is my new online obsession... PINTREST!  I totally didn't understand it and thought it was another fly-by-night online diversion that people used to avoid work.  But I love it!  It is an online pin-board (of sorts) where you can keep track of ideas, things you love, fashion, recipes, home decor, and on and on and on!  I have designed and found virtually all the inspirations for our new house and it is my new favorite thing... and apparently what I spend all my free time playing on while I should be working.  Here's where you can see my Pintrest pinboards:  http://pinterest.com/mindydees/
